Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States--G8

But achieving that goal will be far more difficult than pledging it on a piece of paper as a pledge, particularly with developing nations balking at the goal and complaining that the industrialized world hasn't followed through with aid and technology to help them reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Tomorrow, President Barack Obama will chair the 17-member Major Economies Forum meeting, which will include major polluters China and India, as well as Australia, Brazil, the European Union, Indonesia, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, and South Africa, where debates are expected to be more contentious.

In December, the United Nations will hold a summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, with the hope of achieving a global climate pact.

New Rules For A New Economy + Vic Wisemann?s Thoughts on IBM, GE, GM, CI, MYL, STJ, LO, DF, AMZN, GME, SVU and more... Quotes (from ABC News also):

The days of buying momentum stocks and riding them for a few years is not in the cards right now. Momentum may only last a few days in this market, but that doesn't mean you can't be in the market. You just need to be ready to move when you see the iceberg is heading for the ship to which you have tied your portfolio.

The old rule of buy and hold, however, is not in favor at the moment. The new rule is buy and hedge or just hedge, depending on your risk tolerances. Since many experts are looking at the possibility of an additional 10 to 20% drop in the market, you need to have yourself positioned to withstand the drop. --

G-8 Will Not Call for New Sanctions Against Iran Group of Eight Leaders Will Not Contest Election Results In Iran By JAKE TAPPER and KAREN TRAVERS L'AQUILA, Italy, July 8, 2009
The leaders of the Group of Eight industrialized nations will issue a joint statement this evening expressing serious concerns about the post-election violence in Iran, as well as its continued pursuit of nuclear weapons, but the G-8 will not push for new economic sanctions or tougher enforcement of those that exist, an Obama administration source told ABC News this afternoon.
Jake Tapper takes a look at how leaders have fallen short on some commitments.
The statement will "reflect growing impatience" with Iran among world leaders, the source said, but it will not call for direct ramifications or contest the country's June election results.
The source asked for anonymity because the G-8 world leaders had not yet officially signed off on the final document.
On Tuesday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said his re-election "was the most clean and free election in the world" and assailed the West's "childish acts of interference in Iran's internal affairs."

iterature (primarily poetry) by Ms. Marian Elam

Poetry and One Sample Essay to come for Literature And Book Announcement 2007 Addition: "The Deluging of Cats" Poem (see below)

Please publish the first poetry book The Meandering Stream with Several Themes—with the U.S. Copyright Office TXu001360381 / 2007-05-07. The Merry Muse in this book may be seen as a fictitious character or as me, the creative poet. I also introduced the Tree Druid in this book. I have written poems for my next book about the Tree Druid as a fictitious character also.

I have weaved together a compilation from my first book to put in my "old" second poetry book (The Poetry of Working Through Different Mediums, "old" working title), not yet published. I have submitted my second poetry book, Meandering Roots in Poetic Mediums.

It's a compilation of old poems and newer poems, some already published with The International Library of Poetry (www.poetry.com) and on my websites. For web site links, please see my blog on my other Earthlink web page--please see below:

Most of my poetry has NOT been copyrighted by www.poetry.com. "Alfresco Thoughts" could be a theme for me. "Echoes" is an idea for me. Poems echo other poems. Part of my work is described by other websites:

I want to thank the poetry publishers and poetry editors who have responded to my queries. I have even received some email from editors this week. I have been using my mindspring email address. Please buy my books--how about Meandering Roots in Poetic Mediums if you wanted to embellish on the first poetry book (mentioned above). Again, I appreciate your time and consideration.

MRI stands for MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING and BPA could be plastic that is cancer-causing! More spacious-feeling from white or light colored painted rooms could fight claustrophobia.

The proposed title was on my Literature web page, but instead my second book is now called by me to be Meandering Roots in Poetic Mediums! My second book has large poems which echo the smaller poems of my first book (see above). Now my second book is in the U.S. Copyright Office, but I borrowed from it to send in two poems (less than 100 words) to the no fee contest called the Mattia contest.

I was pleasantly surprised by my ISP (Internet Service Provider), because now I have an old web page (I thought I lost it years ago when I was going to be a programmer). Just for grins, try introduction page!

Windows 7: The Successor of Windows Vista
Sometimes I report what I got from advertising email from Microsoft! The big decision is Win 7 Home Premium vs. Pro, according to Mr. Woody Leonhard who wrote the article, "Some Versions of Windows 7 Worth It, Others Not." "An old 32-bit version will upgrade only to 32-bit Windows 7...64-bit versions run faster than 32-bit versions.

Microsoft Exchange on the Cloud is supposed to include Outlook Web Access, Advanced Mobility Options and Web or Outlook Calendar according to an email I received in June. I will probably never buy Exchange. I do use Microsoft Windows. I will not be the first to know about Cloud Computing!

OLD: To the left are hyperlinks--it is time also to get exercise. Glued to the computer now, I will make time, I will make time.

I remember college, I remembered the website http://www.fastweb.com, and Windows 95 had DOS, I think. Now we just have a Command Prompt under Programs | Accessories. With Win 3.1 there was a DOS pif. If all this is true, can we predict the future for Windows? Or are we to go to Cloud Computing? Was there a Dell 11G we are supposed to know about? Is it Dell and Gateway and Microsoft versus Cloud Computing? Is anyone using Linux? I have sent Blackberry messages this year.

Do you like remembrance after all? Do you need a poem as a memento to remind you of a similar thought you had? I do want themes, not just my imagination!
